Established in 2002 and commencing full-fledged operations in 2016, Luico Ltd proudly serves as the dedicated investment arm of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT). Our core mission is to act as the economic powerhouse within the church, with a primary objective of wealth generation. The wealth we create is meticulously directed to support a range of vital social inclusion programs championed by the ELCT.
Our Mission
At LUICO, our unwavering mission revolves around the generation of wealth for a higher purpose. We are committed to fueling the social inclusion initiatives of the church, which encompass a diverse array of services. These services encompass special and mainstream educational institutions, colleges, universities, hospitals, and health centers. Notably, these institutions are strategically situated in rural areas, with a specific focus on reaching out to low-income communities and marginalized individuals.
Our Legal Framework
LUICO Ltd is a duly registered limited liability company in accordance with the Companies Act of 2000 in Tanzania. We operate within the mainland of Tanzania and adhere to the highest standards of ethics and legality.
Our Ultimate Goal
The ultimate goal of LUICO is to actively create and manage the diverse properties allocated to the ELCT throughout Tanzania. Through effective property management, we aim to optimize the church’s resources and, simultaneously, explore opportunities in the real estate sector. By doing so, we contribute to the overall growth and sustainability of the ELCT’s mission and the betterment of the communities it serves.
